Synergy International Systems, Inc. and Zimbabwe’s Judicial Service Commission are working together to build an Integrated Electronic Case Management System (IECMS). The system will provide a digitized and accessible public service to improve communication between the judiciary and the public.
Senior officials of Zimbabwe’s Judicial Service Commission and Synergy executives have launched a digitization project to strengthen digital readiness and enhance access to justice for all.
The collaborative framework was finalized during the visit to Yerevan, Armenia by the delegation led by the Honorable Chief Justice of Zimbabwe, Mr. Luke Malaba. The other delegates included Mr. Walter T. Chikwana, Secretary of the Judicial Service Commission, Mr. Milton Shadaya, Head of Financial Services, and Mr. Obey Manyenga, Head of IT and Records Management from the Judicial Service Commission.
“We are delighted to be in this country on a working visit at Synergy International Systems. We have been received well, and we are gratified with the warm welcome, reception and hospitality extended to us by our hosts in particular and the Armenian people in general. We have gone into a partnership with Synergy for them to develop and implement an Integrated Electronic Case Management System for the judiciary in Zimbabwe,” said the Chief Justice of Zimbabwe, the Honorable Mr. Luke Malaba.
“We want a system that guarantees the efficiency and effectiveness of the courts in Zimbabwe. We have held fruitful meetings with the leadership of the company and their technical personnel. We are happy with the progress made so far and cannot wait to have the system installed at our courts,” the Chief Justice of Zimbabwe added.
At the Yerevan office, the mission participants got first-hand information on the project implementation approach, reviewed change management recommendations and lessons learned, as well as discussed and signed the system design document.

Within the modernization project, Synergy will provide Zimbabwe with a software solution that will integrate the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court, Commercial Court, High Court, Labor Court, Administrative Court, Magistrates Court, Master of High Court and Sheriff of the High Court under one tech umbrella. The solution will help automate and track the entire case lifecycle, from initial filing through disposition and appeal.
