Portland, OR – May 22, 2017 – Synergy was awarded a contract with the Hearings Office of the City of Portland to provide an electronic Case Management System for the registration and processing of cases related to land use, city codes, towing, and a variety of other administrative hearings. The Hearings Office also processes appeals of city decisions, and will rely on the CMS to interface with citizens and applicants.
The Hearings Office of the City of Portland is an administrative hearings office under the Auditor’s Office. It is independent from other city departments and government entities, and thus serves a critical role mediating between citizen complaints and city departments.
Synergy will provide a municipal Case Management System to support the Hearings Office with online complaint registration and e-filing. The Case Management System will be designed using the Synergy eCase platform, with customized case registration forms, and configurable workflows and user access permissions. The CMS is uniquely configurable to quickly adapt to the requirements of municipal courts, boards of appeal, or administrative hearings offices. Through a public user interface, registrants can access their cases to view the status and receive automated updates and notifications directly to their email.
Synergy CMS will support and streamline existing business processes and ultimately enhance the efficiency of the Hearings Office in accomplishing its mission.
